Ouray Ice Climbing
Ouray, Colorado is a world class ice climbing destination in the heart of the rugged San Juan mountain range and an outdoor recreation mecca during all 4 seasons. This quaint mining town hosts one of the world's largest outdoor ice parks, with 200+ established routes over a 1 mile span in the Uncompahgre Gorge. The Ice Park is a fantastic classroom for all climbing abilities, with easy access and plentiful climbing options you can hone in your ice climbing movement skills with Splitter Alpine Adventure's professional and diligent instructors. Outside of the Ice Park and within 1 hour from Ouray are numerous backcountry ice climbs from 1 to 8 pitches tall and are perfect for those looking for more adventure.

The closest airport is Montrose, CO with daily flights during the winter from most major domestic airports.
If you're driving into town consider weather conditions as the roads can be challenging in the winter. 4WD and snow tires/chains are strongly recommended.
